Dear AWL Authors and Readers,
Thank you for your trust on AWL Journal. We are pleased to announce that the Texas A&M University has acquired the journal from the publisher, and the Education Leadership Research Center at TAMU will now be the publisher. Therefore, we are now moving the journal to TAMU server. This process will be done during the first part of January before we can get fully to the site. We will be using this site till we completely move everything to TAMU server.
We are now accepting manuscripts for Volume 36. Volume 35 will be found in the archive folder. We appreciate your patience, respect, and trust.
Advancing Women In Leadership represents the first on-line professional, refereed journal for women in leadership. The journal publishes manuscripts that report, synthesize, review, or analyze scholarly inquiry that focuses on women’s issues. The Editors invite authors from all professional fields to submit manuscripts regarding women’s professional issues for review for publication in the journal.
As publishing in AWL is ongoing, AWL Journal is currently accepting proposals for Vol. 35. Please review the Call for Submissions and Guidelines for complete details. The submission deadline for Vol. 35 is October 31, 2015. Any submissions will be received after that date will be published in Vol. 36 when accepted.
Advancing Women in Leadership Journal (AWL) is also calling for papers for a special issue that calls for empirical papers on a topic or issue that is poorly understood and is important for advancing our understanding of women’s empowerment and women’s leadership. Special issue papers may focus on any phenomenon that is consistent with AWL’s mission of being an academic outlet for interesting and important empirical studies that focus on poorly-understood issues that are at the pre-theory or nascent stage of knowledge development. AWL is a “big tent” journal open to researchers from all areas and divisions without prejudice to any particular philosophies, disciplines, qualitative or quantitative methods, and levels of analysis.
Manuscripts are due March 15, 2016, and will be competitively selected in response this public Call for papers. Please contact an AWL editor with any questions.
